The La Mare de Carteret Primary School PTA are raising money for some much needed new playground equipment. Money has already been found to re-surface the area early in 2008 and we are hoping to fit the new equipment at the same time.

The Annual Lottery features 4 draws each year, held quarterly, and only 3000 tickets are being sold. Each ticket is £12 and enters the holder to the next four draws after the date of purchase and you keep the same number for each draw. This means a 1 in 1000 chance of winning twelve times a year whilst supporting a great cause.
The revenue from the lottery is split 50/50, with one half going directly to the school and the other being paid in prizes. Nothing is lost in admin fees or any other charges.

The prize amounts are calculated as described below:
1st Prize 25% of the money from the tickets sold for the draw.
2nd Prize 15% of the money from the tickets sold for the draw.
3rd Prize 10% of the money from the tickets sold for the draw.

So the more tickets sold, the bigger the prizes.

Here are some examples:
If 500 tickets are sold the prizes will be 1st £375, 2nd £225, 3rd £150.
If 1000 tickets are sold the prizes will be 1st £750, 2nd £450, 3rd £300.
If 3000 tickets are sold the prizes will be 1st £2250, 2nd £1350, 3rd £900.

 

Currently 43 tickets have been sold meaning the prizes are:

1st £31.50
2nd £18.90
3rd £12.60

Tickets can be bought by anybody and you can buys as many as you want.
