Covid-19 Information

Guernsey's Exit from Lockdown

The Exit Framework is a transitional plan for the gradual easing of restrictions in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which are in place in response to COVID-19.  We are currently in Stage 2 which is within the Bailiwick bubble, with class bubbles, extra hand washing and social distancing in school where possible.

At school we continue to promote good respiratory etiquette (Catch it, Bin it, Kill it!) and regular hand washing for a minimum of 20 seconds.  There are posters and information around school, in toilets and classrooms    reminding children about good hygiene practices.  Hand sanitiser is available in classrooms and at entry/exit points to the school.

If your child displays symptoms of Coronavirus

If your child starts to experience any symptoms, no matter how mild, please contact the Clinical Helpline by calling 01481 756938 or 01481 756969.

The helpline is there to give you advice Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm.

The symptoms that you should be aware of are:

  • Muscle ache (fatigue, exhaustion)
  • Headache (sinus pain, pain around eyes)
  • Loss of smell/taste
  • Sore throat
  • Fever (high temperature, rigors, chills, can’t get warm.)
  • Shortness of breath, chest tightness
  • Continuous new cough

You should NOT send your child to school if they are experiencing any of these symptoms.  If they begin to display symptoms at school the office staff will telephone you, ask you to collect them and encourage you to telephone the Clinical Helpline to get further advice.
