Other Absences

If your child is to be absent from school to attend a family event, medical appointment or to take part in a sporting event you must let the school know in advance by emailing the school office (office@lamare-pri.sch.gg) so that the register can be amended and updated and class teachers alerted.

 

Approved sporting event

 

If your child is taking part in an approved sporting event such as a sports tournament against other schools or World Cup Dance festival or the Eisteddfod, their absence will be authorised.

 

Funerals or weddings of close relatives

 

This would be classed as authorised absence.

 

Educated off site

 

This would be classed as authorised absence.

 

Medical Appointments

 

We would encourage parents and carers to make medical or dental appointments for their children outside of school hours.  However where this is not possible this absence is authorised.
