PSHE
PSHE
Personal, social, and Health Education (PSHE) is the subject through which children and young people develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to live a healthy, safe, productive, capable, responsible and balanced life.
We use a range of resources and teaching strategies to deliver the weekly sessions in each year group. Years 1-6 learn a range of skills covering areas such as 'Relationships', 'Health and Wellbeing' and 'Living in the Wider World'. In addition to this, children are taught about e-safety in discrete lessons which are consistently referred to throughout the year.
PSHE is taught on a weekly basis, which is timetabled for each class. Sometimes, children will have a visitor to teach the lesson, or they may take part in role play or creative activities in order to learn. On top of this, class teachers might deliver a 'circle time' session, if there is additional need for one.
