Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass is a scheme that runs across the UK in order to provide immediate support for children and young people who are involved in or witness domestic abuse incidents.  We are pleased to advise you that with effect from the September 1st 2021 will be participating in this scheme, which is run jointly with Bailiwick Law Enforcement. 

Operation Encompass enables information to be shared with us prior to the start of the next school day, when a child or young person has experienced, any domestic abuse. This allows the us to provide appropriate support, dependent on the needs and wishes of the child.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead ( Mrs Susan Morgan) has been  trained to enable  them to liaise with the police and to use the information that has been shared, in confidence, while ensuring that we are able to make provision for possible difficulties experienced by children, or their families, who have experienced a domestic abuse incident.

We are keen to offer the best support possible to all our children and young people and we believe adopting this important initiative will be extremely beneficial for all those involved.  Should you wish to find out more about the scheme, details can be found at www.operationencompass.org.
