Year 6

Literacy

Year 6 and Year 2 enjoyed sharing their Non-Chronological reports. Year 6 wrote their Non -Chronological report about a plant or animal that lives in The Pantanal or Guernsey's Intertidal Zone. This linked to our Geography topic of Contrasting Ecosystems.

Judo

Year 6 loved Judo! Look at all the smiles! Thank you very much Mr Mann for coming in to teach us.

PSHE - Rights Respecting Schools

In PSHE we have been learning about our rights. The UNCRC consists of 54 articles that set out children's rights and how governments should work together to make them available to all children. We looked at each of the rights and chose 5 or 6 which we felt were important to our class such as 'the right to an education'. We talked about the roles as rights holders (children) and duty bearers (adults). We have displayed this as our Class Charter in our classrooms.

World War 2 - Trip to the Occupation Museum

Year 6 had a very exciting morning at The Occupation Museum. We worked in our teams to find the answers to questions about the Guernsey Occupation. We found out about rationing, recipes such as potato sponge, the SS Vega, the Enigma machine, Biberach, MP3 towers and much more!
